I have a classical guitar right now and I’m looking into getting an acoustic with the steel strings and all that stuff. My classical guitar has 18 frets and 12 are open, so I feel as if it is too small. Am I right or is this guitar fine?
what i mean by this is, when band play live (e.g All Time Low), they tune there guitar’s and bass guitar down (Usually). So, I was wondering do you have to tune your drums down to match the guitar’s, or do you just leave them? Thanks guys!

Some names that you come up with don’t click with the other band members, some are not related to your group and some are just not nice to listen at. So how do you name your band? I am going to start learning how to play the acoustic guitar. I am a short female (5′1) and was wondering what would be the best type of guitar to buy. Someone referred me to looking at Luna Aurora Petite Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic Guitar. But, I am looking for more opinoins.

Alright, well I own a bass but I’m not sure how to play it.. because I’m not sure how you go learning how to play bass. Seeing as with guitar there are chords, but with bass I think there are only a few chords which aren’t actually used often. Should I just learn how to play guitar first? If not, where should I start with bass?
Secondly, for guitar. I used to take lessons but my teacher was pretty sh*tty, I mean he didn’t give me any tips or anything, honestly the only thing I learned was how to tune my guitar without an automatic tuner. Anyways, I need some of the basic tips that make a large affect on playing, because I never learned many of them. So any tips on holding guitar, chords transitions and picking would be great. I need to make sure I’m not getting into any bad habits with the way I’m playing.

in my band, i am considering buying a 7 string or a baritone to get down to "a" tuning. we currently play in "d". my bass player has a four string, would he need to get a 5 string to match?
